Minahasa Royale - Sulawesi 2020

 Minahasa Royale is distilled from Aquilaria cumingiana and is produced from only the highest quality of agarwood, a material so rare that it can take years to collect enough wood to make one distillation. Each piece is selected for its exceptional resin content, resulting in an extraordinarily limited yield. 

The oil is distilled in a copper still using a no-soak, low-temperature process which preserves the most delicate aromatic compounds and allows the character of the wood to shine through with remarkable clarity and depth. 

Its profile is very similar to the best Leyte, Philippines oils, opening with bright tropical woods, lively green herbs, subtle wild florals and creamy resin, before settling into a smooth, honeyed woody finish with gentle spice and fresh citrus notes.
