A dense black resin drawn from the humid forests of Sumatra, unfolding in waves of dark earth, smoked honey, ancient wood, and deep balsamic warmth. Beneath its rugged exterior lies a living aroma, resinous, leathery, and almost tar-like, softened by hints of jungle sweetness and shadowy spice. Primitive, sacred, and hypnotically rich.
When burned on low heat, the resin blooms into thick aromatic smoke filled with deep ambered woods, dark incense, and molten resin facets that linger in the air for hours. Dissolved slowly into alcohol, it forms a powerful natural perfume base, adding depth, smokiness, resinous richness, and an almost antique warmth to attars and extrait-style compositions.

100% recomendado. Un olor dulzón y sin olor a establo. Para mí deberían seguir haciendo resina pero de otros tipos de Aquilarias.
The sumatran oud resin is just so lovely to put it planely. The description is incredibly spot on, the dark smoky woody ness that feels like the bulkier part of this material has some softer facets like a very subtle sweet undertone and spices mixed with a more earthy green tone. It is just very raw and pungent and a nice bit of a balsamicy feel. It is a lovely base and I can’t wait to work with it.
